The cots usually have a side that can be raised, so you can easily reach your baby at night to feed and comforting. This is especially helpful for mothers recovering from a c-section. Many are also foldable or portable, so you can take them on your travels and use them as a temporary sleep option for babies who aren't yet ready to move into a cot that is full size.

This will extend their life and make the transition a lot easier. Some even have a detachable top section that can be converted into a bassinet, while others can be used as the regular or high-rise adult bed. This is a great option for families that are planning to travel frequently or switch between bedrooms in the evening. The Joie Roomie Glide

Famous for their high-end baby products, English brand Joie has stepped into the world of cribs that are bedside with the Roomie Glide. This co-sleeper was designed to allow parents to bond and sleep side-by-side with their children without sharing one bed. It's loaded with features that help make bonding between parent and baby secure, easy and enjoyable.

One of the most important features is a smooth, rocking motion that can be activated with the push of a button. This will help soothe your baby to sleep with a gentle rhythm that doesn't disturb their natural sleep pattern. This is great for older babies and toddlers who are struggling to settle and can also help with digestive issues such as reflux and colic.

The crib can be locked into it once the rocking is done to stop it moving. It can also be secured on the side of your bed with clips and straps. This makes it stable and secure allowing you to get a good night's rest without worrying about your little one rolling off into the middle of the room. The rounded shape of the cocoon has soft padding on the sides as well as double mesh windows at both ends. This allows airflow while ensuring your baby's safety.

Anna found the CoZee to be a safe, comfortable place to sleep for her infant. She liked that it didn't move like other models, so she wasn't woken up at night while trying to soothe her baby during feedings. She also liked that the sides of the chair could be lowered so she didn't need to reach over her partner to carry the child out to feed her at night.

The CoZee is available in charcoal and oak and is a chic addition to the bedroom. It's more of a designer piece than some of the other cribs that we've tried, which look quite utilitarian in comparison. The only things you'll require are a fitted waterproof sheet and a co-sleeping safety strap. There are helpful step-by-step instructions and photos to assist you in putting it together when first opening the box, making it a one-person job when needed.

Our mums are thrilled that the mattress adheres to NICE guidelines. They recommend placing an infant in a Moses basket or crib on its own without blankets, toys and pillows. They also state that the mattress is firm and comfortable for baby and is easy to find sheets for.
